The Jenkins Family Nature Preserve invites the community to celebrate Earth Day 2026 at its annual outdoor celebration on Saturday, April 25th, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Nature Preserve in Lincoln, Georgia. This year’s theme, “Grow With Us,” the event will bring together families, pet owners, nature lovers, conservation supporters, and local businesses for a day of environmental education, restoration awareness, and community connection.

Land Restoration & Conservation Education
Visitors will gain insight into conservation efforts and how communities can help support environmental restoration.

Botanist Class & Native Plant Learning Sessions
An engaging class focused on native plants and their role in healthy ecosystems. Guests will learn how native plants support wildlife, pollinators, and sustainable landscapes.

Grounding & Wellness Experiences
Reconnect with nature through calming wellness activities designed to promote relaxation and mindfulness.

Fresh & Fire

The creators behind the YouTube channel Fresh and Fire Backyard Living, where they share their journey of backyard gardening, growing food, and outdoor living. Through their videos, they teach viewers how to grow plants, experiment with gardening methods, and enjoy the process of producing fresh food from the land.

At the Earth Day Festival, Fresh and Fire will share their passion for gardening, sustainable growing, and connecting with nature. Their presentation will inspire guests to start growing their own food and explore simple ways to create productive gardens at home.

Fresh and Fire focus on practical, everyday ways to turn small spaces into productive growing environments. From container gardening to backyard setups, they show how anyone—no matter their experience level—can begin growing fresh food and building a deeper connection to the land.

Line Dancing & Contests

Line dancing will bring music, energy, and community fun to the Earth Day Festival. Guests will be invited to join in easy-to-follow line dances where everyone—from beginners to experienced dancers—can participate and enjoy moving together in a lively outdoor setting.

Throughout the event, guests can also take part in friendly community contests, including a special pet contest where visitors can show off their dogs and celebrate their four-legged companions. These contests add excitement to the day and give families, pet owners, and friends a chance to laugh, connect, and enjoy the festival together.


Paws for the Planet

Dog-Friendly Earth Day Activities

Paws for the Planet is a special part of the Earth Day Festival that celebrates the connection between pets, people, and the environment. Guests are invited to bring their dogs to the preserve to enjoy outdoor activities, social time, and a fun community atmosphere surrounded by nature.

Throughout the event, visitors and their four-legged companions can participate in pet-friendly activities, demonstrations, and a lighthearted pet contest. Paws for the Planet encourages pet owners to enjoy the outdoors, connect with other animal lovers, and celebrate Earth Day while growing together as a community.

Yoga Sessions

The Earth Day yoga session invites guests to relax, stretch, and reconnect with their bodies while surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature at the preserve. This gentle outdoor practice focuses on mindful movement and balance, helping participants feel grounded while embracing the natural environment around them.

Breathwork Session

The breathwork session guides participants through simple breathing techniques designed to calm the mind and reduce stress. By focusing on deep, intentional breathing, guests will learn how to center themselves and experience a deeper connection with nature and their own well-being.
